1. About this page

This page explains how to delete your Solar Setup Calculator account and what happens to your data. Solar Setup Calculator (“the App”) is operated by Ammar Khatib.

2. Delete from inside the app (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app itself:

1. Open the Solar Setup Calculator app on your phone.
2. Sign in with the email, Apple ID, or Google account you used to create the account.
3. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen.
5. Tap Delete account.
6. Confirm when prompted.

When you confirm, your account is deleted from our servers immediately. You are signed out automatically. The data on your device is also wiped.

3. Delete by email (if you can’t access the app)

If you no longer have access to the app — for example, you lost the device or uninstalled it — you can request deletion by email.

• Send an email to contact@solarsetupcalculator.com.
• Send it from the same email address you used to sign in to the app (so we can verify it’s really you).
• Include a short note: “Please delete my Solar Setup Calculator account and associated data.”

We process email-based deletion requests within 5 business days. You will receive a confirmation once your account and data are removed.

4. What is deleted

The following are deleted immediately when you use the in-app deletion (or within 5 business days for email requests):

• Your account in our authentication system (Supabase Auth): email, name (if you provided it via Apple or Google Sign-In), and account identifier.
• All saved setups — your solar system designs, panel counts, battery configurations, inverter sizes, sun-hour overrides, location, currency, and notes.
• All saved appliances — your library of devices with wattages, hours, and category labels.
• Your profile preferences — selected currency, default location, theme mode, and the kWh price you entered.
• Local app data on your device — Hive storage boxes are wiped when you complete the in-app deletion or when you uninstall the app.

5. What is kept (and for how long)

A small amount of operational data is retained after deletion for legal, accounting, and security reasons. None of it identifies you in a way that lets us link it back to your name or device after deletion.

• Purchase records via RevenueCat (our in-app purchase processor): if you purchased Pro, RevenueCat retains the purchase receipt and an opaque purchase identifier for accounting, refund handling, and tax compliance. This record no longer links to your name or email after your account is deleted. To request deletion of this record too, contact RevenueCat directly via their privacy policy.
• Email delivery logs via Resend (our transactional email processor): the emails we sent you (magic links, signup confirmation) are logged for delivery troubleshooting and kept for approximately 30 days before being purged.
• Server access logs: anonymized request logs kept for approximately 30 days for security and abuse detection. After 30 days they are rotated out automatically.
• Database backups: encrypted backups of our database may contain a snapshot of your data for up to 30 days after deletion. After 30 days the backups are rotated out and your data is permanently and irrecoverably gone from our systems.

We do not run analytics or behavioural tracking (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Crashlytics, or similar), so there is no usage history to retain or share.
